Earth Week 2022 Events

It's officially Earth Week 2022! This year, Park High Green Initiative put together a full week of events in Livingston. Also, there is a great event in Gardiner on Saturday, April 23.

Park High Service Day

Keep an eye out for local high schoolers dedicating their afternoon to community improvement on Tuesday!

 

Film Festival

5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Park High School “Rec Plex”

A collection of films related to climate change in the Greater Yellowstone Area.

Food Cycle Workshop

4 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 21st

Room C-2, Park High School

An educational workshop run by experts who work at different levels of the food cycle about sustainable food growth, consumption, and waste.

Gardiner Earth Day Celebration

This activity is free and open to the public of all ages - no advance sign up necessary.

Gardiner Community Cleanup: 10 a.m. - noon

  • To clean up in the town of Gardiner, meet at Arch Park.

  • To clean up HWY 89, meet at Dino Lube, the Gardiner rodeo grounds, or the airport.

Lunch & Speakers: noon - 2 p.m.

  • Enjoy free lunch and refreshments and listen to speakers at Arch Park, including remarks about park sustainability efforts from Yellowstone Superintendent Cam Sholly.

All Day

  • Get free compost at the Heritage and Research Center. Please bring your own shovel and container.

  • Drop off e-waste, batteries, and bulbs at the Yellowstone Forever box at Arch Park.

  • Greater Gardiner Community Council will haul old refrigerators, stoves, other large unwanted items, and up to four tires for free. Call (406) 224-1327 by April 21 to schedule a pickup.

  • Haul appliances, unwanted items, and up to four tires to the Gardiner Green Boxes on the morning of April 23 for disposal.
