Join PCEC for these November events!

Next week, PCEC will be holding its annual member meeting: the PCEC Rendezvous.

The Rendezvous will be held on Thursday, November 10, at 5:30 p.m via Zoom. You can register here!

We’re excited about the opportunity to give away a full day of guided fishing on the Yellowstone River, thanks to the generosity of Sweetwater Travel!

The prize will go to one person who is present at the Rendezvous, which will be held virtually again this year. You must be present to win the trip.

This year we are gathering to "Celebrate our Community."

Please join us as we honor people in our community that make PCEC’s work possible by showing up, whether that’s giving comments at meetings, planting trees through Livingston Loves Trees, sewing Boomerang Bags, joining trail clean-ups, helping neighbors in flood response, or dedicating hours to expand conservation in our community through work with our partners at Yellowstone Safe Passages, Wild Livelihoods, Emigrant Neighbors, the Park County Housing Coalition, and more.

This year's Rendezvous will be co-hosted by Adelle Welch, a former PCEC Conservation Intern. We will share our annual awards, a financial report, and kick off an end-of-the-year fundraising drive. For anyone interested in more casual conversation, we will have an optional social after the meeting.

Because we really miss seeing everyone in person, we are planning a member social during the holiday season. Stay tuned for more information.

You can register for the Rendezvous on our website: today.

In Community,

Johnathan

NOVEMBER 2022 EVENTS

‘2022 State of the County’ presentation

Thursday, Nov. 3, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Livingston Depot, 200 West Park Street, Livingston

We Will Park County is a citizen-driven initiative to help county residents realize the future they want by annually presenting facts and opinions on the most important issues facing Park County. You might think of it as a mirror, reflecting back to us where our challenges are most acute, where we disagree, and – more importantly – where we agree.

We’ll present the results of this year’s community survey along with current secondary data on a number of key issues & metrics from around the county, followed by a discussion panel featuring three well-respected leaders from peer communities about increasing local resilience and self-determination.

Panelists:

• Bill Milton, Musselshell County rancher & lead facilitator with the Musselshell Watershed Coalition

• Mike Halligan, Executive Director of the Dennis & Phyllis Washington Foundation

• Elizabeth Brown, Managing Director of the Mental Health & Well-Being Program Area of the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and former Executive Director of the Sonoma Valley Community Foundation during the destructive wildfires of 2017

Light refreshments will be provided.

The final IRP will be presented to the Public Service Commission on December 15th and could shape Montana energy for decades.
