Volunteers sew 1,000 masks for Livingston Health Care!

We know that this is a tremendously trying time for our community. Please know that we are continuing the important work of safeguarding our wild backyard (from home!), but also stepping up to address critical health and safety needs in our community.

To that end, PCEC's amazing Boomerang Bags sewing team -- along with many other generous sewing groups and individuals in the community -- have participated in a tremendous local effort to sew cloth masks for Livingston Healthcare.

This week we helped Livingston HealthCare reach their goal of 1,000 fabric masks!

Thank you to everyone who has been helping with this effort to keep our healthcare workers safe. Check out the THANK YOU VIDEO FROM LHC.

There is still a need for masks in our community!

The effort to sew masks will continue for first responders; for volunteers; for people working to keep essential businesses open; and for many more who simply don’t have a mask and would like one.

Do you have a sewing machine at home? Do you have extra fabric or elastic? Can you help sew masks for the community? If you’re interested in joining in, please sign up online HERE, or contact Robin Addicott at robin@pcecmt.org.

A couple PCEC members have offered to loan their sewing machines to those who have the time and the skills to sew masks. If you can sew, but don’t have a sewing machine, let us know, and we’ll hopefully be able to get you one and we are happy to match you up with a sewing pro for a tutorial!
