Join PCEC for these April events!

The call came in a little after 9:30 p.m. Get outside, I was told, the Northern Lights are happening. I couldn't really see them from the parking lot next to my house (to be fair, I also didn't know what I was looking for). But by the time I reached Myers' River View Trail, there was a beam of light all the way across the sky and a pulsing glow to the north.

Park County has the ability to amaze me, always.

This winter has been magical. The number of buffalo, elk, bighorn and pronghorn in the Gardiner Basin. The consistent snow. And the continued camaraderie that comes with experiencing it all together.

There's a lot to be working on, but there's a lot to celebrate.

Next week, we have a Community Conversation about the Community/Climate Resilience plan. I'm really excited to learn more about the project of Katherine Fazekas, who is working with PCEC through AmeriCorps. The Community Resilience program is all encompassing and is critical to thinking about how we make this place safe and good for everyone, including wildlife.

Once again, the Green Initiative is hosting a grand slate of events for Earth Week. The weeklong celebration will feature poems, a Trashion Show and a film festival. Learn more below!

Hope to see you at one of these events later this month!
