Join PCEC for these February events, featuring bison and community planning!
We're off to a great start to 2022. We had incredible turnout at our community conversation about the Yellowstone River Recreation Study and our community conversation about Yellowstone's wolves. We were really impressed by the community’s willingness to weigh in on behalf of wolves, with more than 720 people signing a petition to stop the hunt near Yellowstone.
This month, Yellowstone National Park is seeking input on its new bison management plan, which will help govern how bison are managed when leaving the park. We’re hoping to put a Community Conversation together around that, and we’ll keep you posted when that is.
And a heads up, Yellowstone’s 150th anniversary is March 1. Our events email sometimes don’t get out by the first of the month, so look below for a great event featuring the Eastern Shoshone and Northern Arapaho Tribes of the Wind River Reservation and Yellowstone Superintendent Cam Sholly.

While thousands would rather ride the heated chairlift at Big Sky or retreat entirely to the tropics, some year-round residents and a few hardy visitors relish the cold and quiet of winter as they shovel, plow, ski, snowshoe and ice climb into the snowy wilds of the winter wonderland. Whether for a job or an outdoor passion, dedicated winter users can be found throughout the A-B Wilderness.
