Livingston Farmers Market Starting Up - Volunteers Needed

On Wednesday, June 10th, Livingston will host its first Farmers Market of the year at Miles Park bandshell from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Western Sustainability Exchange is taking extra steps to ensure your safety. The first hour of the market (4:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.) is reserved for shopping for at-risk patrons. Other protocols require vendors to wear a mask, allow for six feet of space between others and to try to limit the exchange of cash (don't forget your debit card).

PCEC plans on helping out with these efforts.

We will have masks available at our table, and will give them to anyone who wants one. Thanks to our Boomerang Bag and other local sewing volunteers more than 100 masks are available. Donations are encouraged to help us keep the mask-making going — it costs about $2.50 in materials per mask. So far, we have sewn more than 3,000 masks, which have helped community organizations such as HRDC, Counterpoint, Meals on Wheels, the Park County Senior Center, the Livingston School District, the Food Resource Center and others.

If you want a mask, but are unable to attend the Farmers Market to pick one up, please email robin@pcecmt.org.

Once again this year, we’ll be assisting with composting at the Farmer’s Market. We need volunteers to help educate and aid the public in proper waste disposal. If you want to volunteer, please sign up online. We have two shifts available: 4:15 p.m. - 6 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 7:45 p.m.

Thanks and see you at the market!
