Support community conservation this #GivingTuesday!
This #GivingTuesday, please consider supporting community conservation with a gift to the Park County Environmental Council.
Our end-of-year goal is $50,000 and we're about halfway there. We also have a $20,000 match -- now through the end of the year -- so your gift today would be doubled, and would mean a lot.
At PCEC, we take our role in the community seriously. We work to listen to you, our more than 600 members and 3,000 supporters, and to be a voice for the land, water, wildlife and people of Park County.
We recently held our end-of-year Rendezvous to celebrate community conservation. At the meeting, we heard from flood volunteers, and generous community members who help with Livingston Loves Trees. We honored PCEC member Jeff Reed, who has given hours of his volunteer time to help pass the Yellowstone Gateway Protection Act, to challenge the newly proposed gravel pit on public lands in Emigrant, to support Yellowstone Safe Passages, Wild Livelihoods work on wolves, and much of PCEC's other work.
This holiday season we are grateful for people like Jeff, and people like you, and everyone that takes time to support PCEC, through volunteering, sharing your ideas, attending public meetings and donating to support our work.
As an example of what your donation today supports, here's what we are up to this week:
We're working to get the Park County Housing Action Plan passed at the Park County Commission so that we can move forward with solutions to our housing crisis.
We're working to submit comments and improve the East Crazy Mountain Land Exchange.
We're analyzing data we collected this summer in partnership with landowners and MSU Extension about noxious weeds throughout Park County.
We're meeting with members of our community to build resilience and ensure we're more prepared when floods hit and fires burn.
We're working to help improve safety on U.S. Highway 89 for both people and for wildlife.
Ready to connect in person!? Please join us on Thursday, December 8th, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at the Yellowstone Gateway Museum, 118 W. Chinook, Livingston.
The celebration will feature a chili bar -- made by PCEC staff. Bring the family and let us cook for you! We’d love to deepen and strengthen our community relationships over food and drinks.
Please RSVP so we can have a headcount for food. You can RSVP here!
Please consider making a donation today to help us reach our end-of-year goal!
In Community,
Michelle
