Without a Growth Policy, we're blind

One week from today, ballots will be sent out to voters across Park County with an important question: Whether to repeal the Park County Growth Policy.

This week, the No on Referendum 1 campaign released an official video, highlighting concerns from some community members involved in the effort.

You can watch the video here.

“Without a growth policy, we’re blind,” said Frank O’Connor, a community member who helped write the Growth Policy as a member of the Park County Planning Board.

O’Connor said that everyone who wanted to participate in the Growth Policy process was able to. More than 800 people provided comments in the 2017 update process.

Colin Davis, treasurer of the campaign, said he’s worried about how unprepared Park County will be without a growth policy for the growth coming this way.

Rick Wollum, manager of Angler’s West, said he’s worried that one day all we’ll see is houses for the entire length of Paradise Valley.

“I still think we have that chance in Park County to keep it as beautiful as it is,” said Dorothy Bradley in the video.

If you want to support the campaign, share the video, sign up to volunteer or donate today! Let us know if you’d like to make phone calls or pass out yard signs.

We have plenty of yard signs and highway signs. Let us know if you’d like one!

And remember to vote! And to tell your friends to vote! City of Livingston and incorporated Clyde Park residents are unable to vote on the question, so every vote counts.
